Job description
We are currently seeking an experienced Supply Chain Commercial Specialist (CP Advisor - Operations) with Turn Arounds and Brownfield Projects in end-to-end contract sourcing, negotiations, market bids/tenders/RFPs evaluations for these projects.
The Supply Chain Commercial Specialist will develop and execute sourcing strategies and tactics supporting the companies Energy and Chemical Park’s Turn Around and Brownfield Projects portfolio based on a deep understanding of the business requirements, site strategy and drivers, and local/regional/global supplier market.
The Commercial Specialist enables stakeholders to understand the intent of contracts, optimise the use of contracts, manage Contracts/Contractors to optimize performance and remove waste.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Responsible for the end-to-end management of the business supply chain category/contracts assigned. This includes assessing the demand/supply, developing and executing the approved strategy, sourcing and awarding the optimal supplier(s), implementing and executing the selected contract(s), and post award contract management.
  • Determine the right remuneration model (e.g. output-based contract) to encourage the right behaviours and expectations from suppliers to optimise alignment of supply chain and asset delivery.
  • Obtaining strategy and award approvals at the necessary supply chain councils.
  • Strong business partnering across the assigned business and contract(s)/category to understand the changes in the business, business drivers, and external environment and drive any adjustment of supply chain to meet these changing needs.
  • Ensure integrated ways of working with business and suppliers.
  • Supporting and monitoring procurement activities related to Turn Around and Brownfield Projects,
  • Building and maintaining strong network in the market being fully aware of supplier developments and opportunities emerging in the market.
  • Manage relationships across the end-to-end supply chain for the assigned contract(s)/category and ensure stakeholders understand the intent of the contract and work together to achieve the desired business outcomes.
  • Drive total cost reductions and value beyond the traditional supply chain commercial focus. Identify opportunities in the contract portfolio to create more value and/or to eliminate waste.
  • Drive continuous improvement by replicating improvements and recommended practices. Facilitate discussions on process performance and inefficiencies. Key Experiences and

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Supply Chain experience with Turn Arounds and Brownfield Projects is a must.
  • Experience in end-to-end contract sourcing, negotiations, market bids/tenders/RFPs evaluations for Turn Around and Brownfield Projects.

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada (i.e., by way of Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work permit)
