Job Title: Compliance and Advisory Consultant
Location: Remote with regular travel
Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Job Type: Full-time (40 hours per week)

THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are seeking a dedicated, committed, and experienced care professional with high standards of integrity and quality. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in health and social care management, compliance, and operational excellence. You will work closely with our internal consultancy team, external agencies, and a range of care providers to ensure compliance, enhance service quality, and drive positive outcomes for service users.
DESIRABLE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in internal controls, auditing, and assurance reviews.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to implement cultural change within care organisations.
- Keen interest in staying up to date with legislation and best practices.

Responsibilities:
- Provide expert operational and compliance advice to clients on designing, delivering, and managing their care businesses.
- Conduct external audits, mock inspections, and assurance reviews to identify and address compliance gaps.
- Assist care providers with new CQC registration applications, business planning, and pre-registration consultancy.
- Develop tailored action and service improvement plans to address regulatory concerns.
- Coach and support Registered Managers in preparation for successful CQC interviews.
- Design and maintain high-quality policies, procedures, and essential compliance documentation.
- Deliver training sessions on regulatory updates, best practices, and quality assurance.
- Provide crisis management support, including liaison with CQC and other regulatory bodies during investigations.
- Regularly report findings and recommendations to the Operations Manager.
- Represent Affinity Care Advisory at industry events, conferences, and workshops.
