MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Relevant Professional Nursing Qualification with Diploma in Nursing or BCUR Degree
  • SANC Registered
  • Dispensing licence
  • Relevant VMMC training
  • Qualification in Quality Assurance will be an added advantage
  • A minimum 2 years’ experience in providing VMMC Continuous Quality Improvement
  • Ability to demonstrate VMMC provision skills
  • Valid Code 08 Drivers Licence
  • Own Transport

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

The Nurse Clinician (VMMC CQI) will provide technical support, clinical mentoring and perform quality assurance for all VMMC activities within the Correctional Services Programme.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct weekly CQI assessments at all THC VMMC Sites,
  • Generate CQI gap analysis reports and assist sites to develop Quality Improvement Plans
  • Serve as a provincial resource to support the efficient, high quality implementation of PEPFAR/CDC funded VMMC services
  • Champion VMMC quality, safety, risk management, data use, and data transparency among VMMC service providers, DCS Clinicians, municipal, district, and provincial government stakeholders
  • Support VMMC service providers to perform continuous quality improvement (CQI) with paper-based and digital instruments
  • Regularly summarize and reports activities, outcomes and challenges to THC VMMC Programme coordinator and Regional Coordinators and M&E Lead
  • Routinely analyse quality data from province
  • Compile and submit monthly quality reports for the DCS Regions
  • Attend and support provincial CQI team meetings
  • Ensure provision of effective Mentorship of all staff at VMMC implementing sites
  • Compile and submit monthly, quarterly and annual reports
  • Support mentoring of all VMMC service providers and CSP staff
  • Support the deployment of analytic technologies within the province
  • Draft high quality technical and programme documentation and presentations for dissemination
  • Conduct stakeholder analyses, develop and implement stakeholder engagement plans
  • Support the development and running of DOH governance systems and processes
  • Support THC M&E Team with monthly and ad hoc reporting
  • Provide Strategic Information support to THC and PDOH
