How you make a difference:
The CQI Specialist works with various teams to coordinate and implement continuous quality improvement activities for Wellpath. This includes tracking and analyzing CQI data, creating audit reports, and developing and communicating quality improvement plans to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. The Specialist also monitors home office grievances and uses the information to drive continuous quality improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tracks and trends performance on CQI measures for all sites, proactively identifying areas for improvement and initiating effective problem-solving.
  • Develops, manages, and executes improvement plans for site and system-wide issues and trends, and performs audits for company initiatives.
  • Drives the Peer Review process, stores and maintains Patient Safety Work Product, and prepares and submits reports as requested.
  • Communicates information to Home Office, Regional, and Site leadership, and collaborates with staff to meet CQI contract requirements.
  • Assesses staff educational needs, aids in the development of educational objectives and strategies, and maintains and updates the CQI Manual for the company while making ethical decisions and performing activities.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Registered Nurse, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Healthcare Project Management, etc. preferred.

Experience

  • 3 years in a clinical setting, correctional healthcare setting, hospital management, risk management, or similar experience required.
  • Project management experience preferred.
  • Previously demonstrated ability and experience in providing leadership for self-directed work teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills with strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience with process improvement methodology, and PC applications preferred.
  • Knowledge of principles of medical/mental health record documentation.

Licenses/Certifications

  • RN/NP/LPC/LMHC/NCC/MFT/LCSW/PMP Preferred
