  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in Crane & Lifting design and development.
  • Proficiency in Norwegian and technical English, both spoken and written.
  • Strong commercial awareness.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive service attitude.
  • Highly creative, organized, and systematic.
  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of regulations and compliance, with knowledge of industry standards such as NORSOK, NEK & NS, EN, and FEM 1001 (Cranes).
  • Thorough understanding of hydraulic systems.

THE ROLE

As the Senior Crane & Lifting Engineer (C&LSE), you will be the go-to expert in Crane & Lifting Engineering, providing top-tier technical support across the organization. Your key responsibilities will include: Supporting Client Support, Sales, and Rental teams, Leading Engineering Projects, Tender Team efforts, and New Product Development, Staying ahead of market and technology trends, and analysing competitor technologies, Assisting the Engineering & Innovation Manager and Sales Teams in making strategic commercial decisions.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and coordinate activities in the Crane & Lifting Engineering Team
  • Project Engineering-budget responsibility.
  • Engineering design & development from “clean page”.
  • Actively look for new products and solutions.
  • Work across disciplines such as Hydraulics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Sheet Metal, Structure, Lifting, Access techniques and Mechanical engineering.
  • Participate in technical tender clarifications and negotiation sessions.
  • Join in New Product Development (NPD) and develop technical solutions.
  • Assess technical requisitions or enquiries for their technical and commercial risks.
  • Evaluate technical implementation models, in the event of a tender approval and the consequences of these.
  • Conduct thorough risk analyses for equipment, including participation in ATEX risk assessments.
  • Report on Team’s project progress to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Mentor and develop competency & talent.
