Description:

Working independently and exercising good judgment and discretion, the Creation Studies Student Worker will assist the Center for Creation Studies Director with projects and administrative tasks as assigned. Welcome visitors to the Center for Creation Studies and support University initiatives including CFAW and Experience LU

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Computer experience required, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, well-organized, and desire to work with others.
  • Well-developed communication skills are essential.
  • Self-starter; works well without direct supervision.

PHYSICAL AND SENSORY ABILITIES

  • May be required to sit to perform deskwork or type on a keyboard.
  • Regularly required to hear and speak to effectively communicate orally.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and climb stairs on campus.
  • Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop to conduct business.
  • Regularly lift 10 or fewer pounds.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ability to work well with faculty, staff, and students.
  • Be the first point of contact for the Center for Creation Studies office.
  • Assist Director with data entry for course assignments.
  • Assist Director with scanning, copying, and filing for research project and CRST courses. This will include collecting/entering data, gathering research materials, and overall management of research projects.
  • Assist Director with answering appropriate questions and emails from students in CRST courses.
  • Assist Director with overall management, creating/maintaining displays, and other decorations, directing tours and cleaning in Creation Hall Museum.
  • Assist Director with logistics and technology at Creation and Design Seminar Series and other events for the Center.
  • Maintain good academic standing and manage work life balance.
  • Ability to keep confidential information private.
  • Strictly adheres to Liberty University policies, representing the University in an exemplary manner.
  • Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s mission.
