The Oakdale Group provides a wide range of specialist assessments, including for autism, ADHD, and developmental trauma. Oakdale also provides a wide range of psychological therapies for children, young people, and adults. Many of our services are commissioned by the NHS, Local Authorities, and schools, and include services for NHS staff. Others are accessed by members of the public who pay for them privately, through medical insurance, or through our charitable arm.

JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Therapists who have experience in either Creative arts, Theraplay, or Dyadic Developmental practice to join our team as an Associate. We are looking for Associates who can offer us regular hours per week and come to our centres in Harrogate, Horsforth & Halifax. If interested in discussing this with us then please apply today.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Appropriate qualification for modality, i.e. Master’s degree for creative arts therapists, or accredited DDP course and qualifications.
  • Follow Oakdale’s safeguarding and risk policies to ensure client safety
  • Registration with HCPC, BACP (or similar), with a good level of malpractice insurance
  • Proven experience in providing therapy services
  • Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques and interventions
  • Excellent communication and active listening skills
  • Empathy and compassion for clients’ struggles
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

Therapists with experience in Creative arts, Theraplay, and Dyadic Developmental practice to come to support us in an associate capacity.

DUTIES:

  • Conducting individual therapeutic sessions with children, young people and parents
  • Utilise evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address clients’ concerns
  • Help clients identify and work through emotional challenges
  • Offer clients coping skills and strategies for managing stress and anxiety
  • Monitor clients’ progress through the use of evidenced outcomes measures and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records in line with Oakdale’s policies
  • Work within the guidelines of Oakdale and the Adoption Support Fund for therapeutic interventions
