Job Description
As a Creative Designer at Nearmap, you will help shape the creative vision and strategy for our brand, ensuring a cohesive and compelling visual identity across a range of touch points working in partnership with the content team. You will spearhead the execution of the recent Nearmap brand uplift and visual identity to effectively communicate our value proposition and resonate with our diverse audiences in ANZ.
Collaborating with teams across marketing and within the GTM, you will oversee the creation of impactful marketing campaigns, event materials, and digital content that drives brand awareness, leadership and engagement. Your expertise will elevate Nearmap creative output, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation. By helping shape the visual narrative, you will play a critical role in enhancing our brand presence and influencing how businesses and communities perceive Nearmap.
You will also play an important role in advocating the value of a strong design culture at Nearmap. Working with cross-functional partners across the business to create an efficient design process that puts our customers at the centre of everything we do.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
The ideal candidate will be expected to be adept at the following:
- Develop visually striking digital assets for campaigns, including display ads, social media content, landing pages, and email templates, merchandise, event booths etc to boost engagement and conversion rates.
- Optimise campaigns based on engagement.
- Maintain and evolve brand standards by ensuring all digital outputs adhere to and enhance Nearmap’s brand guidelines, maintaining a cohesive and recognisable brand identity across all digital platforms.
- Conduct user research and usability testing initiatives to gather actionable insights, refining design solutions based on feedback and data-driven decisions.
- Continuously research and integrate the latest design trends, tools, and technologies to keep Nearmap’s digital presence innovative and ahead of the curve.
- Offer strategic art direction and guidance on visual design projects, ensuring creativity and excellence in all deliverables.
- Manage the entire design lifecycle from ideation to final execution, ensuring projects meet timelines, quality standards, and stakeholder expectations.
Qualifications
For this role we are seeking people with the following experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in designing and executing successful GTM activations for cross channel activities and leading integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, and social media channels.
- Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva and demonstrating your ability to use industry-standard design tools to create high-quality digital designs and assets.
- Experience in motion design and storyboarding, showcasing your ability to create engaging and interactive user experiences through animations, videos, and storyboards.
- Mastery of graphic design principles, including typography, colour theory, and layout.
- Clear, honest, and respectful communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with team members, stakeholders, and clients, fostering positive working relationships.
- Deep knowledge of branding principles and experience maintaining and evolving brand guidelines to ensure consistency and alignment.
- Demonstrated experience in project planning, including creating project timelines, setting milestones, and managing resources, to successfully deliver complex projects on time and within budget.
- Basic understanding of designing within a content management system (CMS), including knowledge of CMS design principles, templates, and customization options.
- Effective presentation skills to engage stakeholders, clearly communicate design concepts and ideas, and obtain feedback to refine and improve design solutions, fostering effective collaboration and decision-making.
