Marcom is the creatively-led global team that oversees Apple’s consumer facing marketing. We ensure the flawless development and execution of world-class communications across all medias and platforms. Every day, hundreds of millions of Apple customers around the world interact with our products. We drive the strategy and creative work that provide both new and existing customers with simple, engaging and inspiring marketing experiences. The work of Marcom CEMEA (Central Europe, Middle East and Africa) includes Localization, Advertising, partner Retail Experience and Communications, Interactive/Digital, Video & Motion Graphics, and Direct. It is a creative-led organization that plans, localizes, conceptualizes and implements Apple’s product and services communications. The Interactive Lead, provides leadership within the Experience Design (XD) team, specifically for Apple.com, the Apple Store app, social media platforms, and digital signage. They are responsible for working with a group of designers across multiple projects, typically focused on a single area: product launch and campaigns, retail, or channel. They empower the broader cross-functional team while providing critical feedback on deliverables, and work closely with leadership from other teams to deliver elegant XD thinking and documentation for informational websites, transactions, and app experiences.
DESCRIPTION
The Interactive Lead collaborates across disciplines that includes writers, designers, developers, and creative technologists and is a partner to Marcom Associate Creative Directors. They lead and motivate the team by having a focused vision, a level head and a clear strategy. They articulate the rationale behind design decisions and exhibit strong managerial skills to guide the internal team and external partners. This role demonstrates extraordinary strategic and design thinking and provides expertise in content strategy, system design, usability, analytics, user testing, information architecture, and marketing. Their responsibilities include helping to ensure that assignments are on track and aligned with strategy as well as presenting work to internal teams and executives at Apple, clearly articulating design rationale.
- Must provide a design portfolio or work samples.
Industry experience in Design/Digital agencies or in-house marketing communications departments.Excellent written and spoken English skills for effective communication with international team members.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 10+ years of experience in information architecture and experience design.
- Portfolio shows applied knowledge of usability, user-centered design, and content strategy with logical and creative thinking. XD documents include sitemaps, flows, and wireframes.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills; can present and explain XD directions to a broad audience; and can contribute effectively during all phases of an interactive project.
- Fluent in analytics, usability tests, and other forms of qualitative and quantitative feedback with the ability to use analytics and user testing to inform the process.
- Experience with content strategy and platform design, from large-scale marketing sites to transactional commerce sites.
- Proficient in Web and app experience design and are familiar with current development technologies.
- Understands the requirements of the creative process, including typical time and resources needed to produce quality work.
