DESCRIPTION

The Continuing Medical Education (CME) Coordinator is responsible for development of educational programs for the medical staff to ensure compliance with the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules & Regulations, The Joint Commission (TJC), CMA CME Standards and other regulatory agencies.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• California Fire and Life Safety Card - National Organization within 30 days of hire

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree and Preferably in Healthcare, Education, Business Administration or related field. Or equivalent educ/experience
• Upon hire: CCMEP (Certified Continuing Medical Education Professional)
• Upon hire: CPMSM (Certified Professional Medical Staff Manager) or CPSC (Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist)
• 3 years of recent experience as a Credentials Coordinator and/or CME Coordinator.
