Description:
We are looking for a diligent Credit/Collections Supervisor/Manager to join our team in the Energy/Natural Resources industry, based in Fort Worth, Texas, 76119, United States. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. As a Credit/Collections Supervisor/Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the credit department, managing high-risk accounts, and ensuring the accurate processing of customer credit applications.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the credit department, including the development and improvement of operational goals.
- Managing the company’s high-risk customer accounts to maintain positive customer relations and optimize collection results.
- Processing customer credit applications accurately and efficiently and making credit term decisions based on findings.
- Maintaining accurate customer credit records, including verification and documentation of customer taxability.
- Establishing credit limitations on customer accounts and handling special credit arrangements and deviations from standard terms of payment.
- Responding to credit inquiries on customers and releasing orders in a timely manner based on customer history and judgment.
- Reviewing collection reports to ascertain the status of collections and balances outstanding and evaluating the effectiveness of current collection procedures.
- Auditing delinquent accounts considered to be uncollectible to ensure adequate efforts have been taken before recommending bad debt status on an account.
- Establishing and maintaining good relations with credit managers of competitors and similar companies within our marketing areas for credit reference purposes.
- Leading, directing, evaluating, and developing a team of credit and collections staff to ensure that the credit and collections activities are conducted effectively and ethically.
- Proficiency in B2B collections
- Experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Knowledge of Billing Functions
- Ability to handle Cash Activity
- Experience with Cash Applications
- Ability to analyze and interpret Credit Reports
- Experience in the Energy/Natural Resources industry
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proven track record in credit or collections management roles
- Familiarity with industry-standard software and tools
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field is preferable
- Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
