Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join the finance reporting team reporting to the Finance Manager. This is a sole charge position looking after a customer portfolio of both student debt and company debt. You will be tasked with the following responsibilities:
- Investigate overdue accounts and liaise with both customers and department managers to follow this up
- Organise overdue letters and emails going out to customers
- Deal with customer queries in regard to invoices and overdue amounts
- Negotiate and implement payment schemes where required
- Create aged debtors reporting to distribute to departments
- Make recommendations around bad debt and write offs
- Provide input to the monthly reporting cycle.
This is a busy role with large amounts of communication with customers and internal departments so you will need to have at least three years’ relevant experience in a credit control position, and preferably in a large corporate environment.
Ideally you will have strong negotiation and conflict management skills, and be both diplomatic and confident in dealing with these situations. You will also need excellent written and verbal communication, an eye for detail and the ability to self-manage and prioritise your work efficiently.
