Responsibilities:
Other key responsibilities will include:
- Direct and assist the Credit Manager to achieve collection results
- Ensure that all aspects Visy Fibre Packaging Accounts Receivables are managed within the guidelines of the Group Credit Policy and Visy Business Process
- Optimising efficiency of Days Sales Outstanding (DSO)
- Ensure legal compliance with relevant credit related legislation
- Develop initiatives which enhance the efficiency of terms of trade provided by Visy Industries
- Work closely with Visy key stake holders, Administration support, Sales Support and Customer Services to maximise cash and reduce debtor balances
- Proactively encourage and monitor the assessment of credit risk
- Provide analysis and recommendations on credit, efficient and effective collection strategies at ledger, group, individual and personal levels
- Provide detailed and accurate reports to the Credit Manager and/or key stake holders
- Understand the divisional and local markets and maintain up to date and current debtor ledger
Your friendly mannerism and strong negotiation skills will see you shine in this role. You will have a customer focused attitude, strong work ethic and the following:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Credit Controller role or similar
- Previous reconciliation experience and debtors experience is an absolute must
- Tech savvy, your Excel skills are outstanding and exposure to SAP will be highly regarded but not necessary
- You are a confident, self-motivated, proactive and highly organised – tight deadlines are not to be missed!
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to form strong relationships with internal and external customers.
- You enjoy being accountable and possess a real ‘can do’ attitude.
- You are a natural problem solver with a passion for continuous improvement
