We are looking for a Credit Controller to be based at our site in Oakwood site (NG15 0DR)This role involves remote work of up to 4 days per week (Subject to Business Requirements).
As a Credit Controller you will be responsible for ensuring the prompt payment of all debt due to the Company and for providing insightful data on expected payment profiles to aid effective cashflow management.
This a full-time, permanent position offering a salary of up to £25,000 (depending on experience).
The working scheduling is predominantly a Monday – Friday working 9-5

Key responsibilities:

  1. Debt Management
  • To manage a ledger of customers maintaining high value accounts.
  • To ensure collection of debt within customer payment terms and minimise overdue debt.
  • To highlight any potential debt risk to the Credit Manager.
  • To liaise with customers and Yusen staff to ensure customer queries are resolved promptly.
  1. Cashflow
  • To ensure accurate cash flow forecast is maintained.
  • To liaise with Finance Business Partners and Operational colleagues to determine future cash profiles for major customers.
  1. Inter-Co Agreements
  • Reconciliation of inter-co settlement accounts, including liaising with the Accounts Payable Team and Operational departments
  • Correspond with international offices to ensure monthly settlements processed and agreed in line with deadlines
  1. Reporting
  • To provide accurate and timely cash / debt data to the business to aid decision making.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in credit control and finance is preferred
  • Understanding of credit control procedures.
  • Experience in working with multiple currencies in a financial environment would be preferred.
  • Currently studying or keen to study towards CICM is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good stakeholder management skills (including interactions with senior management).
  • Flexible approach and ability to prioritise workload
  • Excellent Excel skills and a good understanding of Microsoft Office applications, including Teams, SharePoint and Outlook.
