JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking to recruit Credit Hire Claims Specialists in full or part-time permanent positions to support the company’s continuing growth, reporting to the Bridgetech Automotive Services Credit Hire Leader.
Although this is a home working role at present, it is our ambition that this role will transition into a hybrid one, with travel into an office at some point in the future.
You will be responsible for all aspects of the third-party claims lifecycle and claims costs. You will be delivering highly technical outbound calls to motor insurance claimants and their representatives to settle the costs and liability associated with a motor accident.
Experience working in a similar role is essential.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge of the motor insurance market, in particular Claims Handling including Credit Hire and Repair
  • Previous experience in liability would be an advantage
  • Excellent telephone manner and great negotiation skills
  • Good verbal and written communicator
  • Good Excel, Word and Microsoft Office skills
  • Attention to detail
  • A can-do, positive mentality
  • Ability to work under pressure and to target

PREFERRED SKILLS – KNOWLEDGE

Experience gained working in the insurance or credit hire sector. Success Criteria

KEY TASKS

  • Making and receiving calls to third-party claimants and their representatives discussing, often complex areas of insurance handling and case law to reach the appropriate settlement cost for our clients.
  • Updating the systems of record.
  • Obtaining status updates on the vehicle repair, conveying this to all stakeholders, notifying the replacement vehicle provider and any other interested parties.
  • Obtaining, assessing the veracity of invoices for the repair costs and the vehicle hire, as well as any other costs, ensuring these have been properly managed and reaching an appropriate settlement rate with the other party.
  • Prepare the claim for payment and handing off to panel lawyers, if appropriate, when the claim cannot be settled
