Description:
Due to increased expansion, we are now looking to recruit a Credit Hire Team Leader to join our Manchester Team! The Credit Hire department is led by three Partners who are experts in their field, between them they oversee a growing team of approximately 50 Credit Hire Specialists who are based in our Manchester, London and Cardiff offices. The department is at the forefront of strategic litigation in this area, having won leading cases such as Clayton v EUI Ltd, Akhtar v Boland and Hussain v EUI .
What will I be doing?
We are currently recruiting for a Credit Hire Team Leader to work within the Credit Hire Department in our Manchester Office . The Credit Hire team deal with insurance cases whereby a replacement vehicle has been hired on a deferred credit basis and it is their job to investigate the individuals, credit hire companies and beyond to determine if there are any fraud indicators and as to the genuine nature of the claim.
The successful candidate will predominantly lead and manage the operational performance across their allocated team including accountability for delivery of service to insurer clients, employee productivity and revenue performance.
Their team will handle their own case load of litigated Small and Fast and track claims. In addition, the team deals some of the highest value and most technically complex credit hire cases with some exceeding £50K. These can include appeals, personal injury and strategic litigation; so strong litigation experience is essential to lead a team to success.
What do I need?
You will ideally have experience of managing a team and will have an established experience within the Credit Hire field, preferable within a defendant background and proven experience of running a litigated case load of small claims and fast track cases in a Solicitor/Litigation Executive/Paralegal capacity. You will have a client-centric approach and excellent client care skills. Proven experience of communicating and working with clients and strong interpersonal and negation skills. You will be able to work effectively under pressure and deadlines with the knowledge of the CPR, the SRA Code of Conduct and of course excellent organisation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
What’s in it for you?
As a firm we are fully committed to nurturing and growing talent, and part of that is recognising the results of an individual’s work and rewarding high performance.
We are not your stereotypical corporate law firm. We offer flexible working with only 1 day per week in the office once completing your initial training. We also adopt a relaxed dress code, so you can be yourself at work!
Above all the firm values potential, if you are inquisitive, hardworking and passionate about achieving great results, HF is a great place to develop your career.
There is a transparent internal application process to apply for Associate, Senior Associate, Associate Partner and then Partner. We are proud of growing our own talent and there are a number of individuals in the Credit hire Department who have successfully progressed along this route.
The team is filled with legal professionals working in an engaging and friendly environment. Our people pride themselves on making an impact through providing an excellent, results and solutions focussed service to our clients. There is a great team ethos and we encourage our people to be involved in various team and firm wide initiatives centred on personal development and wellbeing, not just the work we do. For instance there are opportunities to be part of the engagement committee, attend client events and participate in charity and volunteering opportunities.
We are a sociable department, whether that be a team night out, chairing a quiz for charity or taking part in a lunch time chess tournament. We welcome any ideas for new team challenges or initiatives! We want to enjoy being at work as much as the work we do so being part of a connected team allows us to work better together.
We’re always looking to recognise and reward our people for the work they do. Here are just a few of the benefits you will have access to as part of our team:
25 days’ annual leave increasing to 30 days with service
Private healthcare provision
Company pension scheme
Enhanced parental leave
Cycle to Work scheme
Life insurance and income protection
