Description:

Our client a leading energy distributor is looking for a credit risk manager. Do you have what it takes to contribute to this fast growing organisation.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Develop and enhance the Company’s risk management system, ensuring standardized and systematic processes.
Implement and monitor risk management, including formulating risk control processes, communication, and early warning mechanisms.
Conduct customer credit evaluations, recommend credit ratings, terms, limits, and mitigation measures for approval by Senior Management.
Manage customer credit limits and insurance, gather market information, deactivate high-risk customers, and optimize credit insurance coverage.
Monitor customer credit status, report abnormalities, overdue balances, credit insurance, and market developments to Senior Management.
Propose credit risk mitigation measures for transactions exceeding risk appetite, ensuring all credit exposures are within approved risk frameworks.
Liaise with departments to evaluate customer guarantees and monitor them, including financing and non-financing guarantees.
Address legal, compliance, and market risk issues in credit approvals.
Review, report, and handle major risk events.
Conduct annual risk reviews and ad-hoc risk assessments.
Assist with tasks assigned by the Head of Department or Senior Management.
Main Activities:
Manage the buyer credit portfolio for Singapore operations.
Conduct daily credit evaluations, ageing/collections meetings, and resolve doubtful or uncovered debts.
Regularly visit customers with line managers or salespersons.
Enhance digital capabilities to monitor buyer credit risks using data and automation.
Qualifications / Experience:
Bachelors degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field.
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, with 5 years in a similar role.
Expertise in importation and wholesale distribution of fuel-related products.
Knowledgeable in credit control policies and procedures.
Proficient with digital solutions, ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central).
Strong decision-making skills in credit approval processes.
High ethical standards, responsibility, and teamwork spirit.
Excellent organizational, time management skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Meticulous attention to detail
