Description:

About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Credit Risk Specialist within the Consumer Credit Card Risk CRO Organization. Role requires a business manager mindset, combining strategic thinking with practical execution to manage risk and drive business results. Furthermore, demonstrate the ability to coordinate and manage cross-functional initiatives, drive organizational efficiency, and support executive decision-making.

In this role, you will:

  • Perform Quantitative analytics using programming tools (SQL, SAS, Tableau and/or Python) to analyze data from a variety of sources to develop portfolio and account management strategies.
  • Review and analyze complex strategies, programs, and policies with a direct and significant impact on credit risk appetite and culture.
  • Produce and review monthly, quarterly, and annual strategy performance reports for senior management.
  • Exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
  • Collaborate with business for oversight of risk management.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Credit Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Math, Statistics, or Economics.
  • 2+ years of strong programing skills in Python/SAS/SQL with hands on experience handling large datasets.
  • Effective Storytelling: Capability to transform raw data into visually engaging stories in PowerPoint that highlights objective, methodology and recommendations.
  • Knowledge and understanding of databases and data mining techniques.
  • Self-motivated with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner.
  • Proactive with results driven attitude, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Well organized, attention to detail.

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening.
  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule.
