Description:
About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Credit Risk Specialist within the Consumer Credit Card Risk CRO Organization. Role requires a business manager mindset, combining strategic thinking with practical execution to manage risk and drive business results. Furthermore, demonstrate the ability to coordinate and manage cross-functional initiatives, drive organizational efficiency, and support executive decision-making.
In this role, you will:
- Perform Quantitative analytics using programming tools (SQL, SAS, Tableau and/or Python) to analyze data from a variety of sources to develop portfolio and account management strategies.
- Review and analyze complex strategies, programs, and policies with a direct and significant impact on credit risk appetite and culture.
- Produce and review monthly, quarterly, and annual strategy performance reports for senior management.
- Exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
- Collaborate with business for oversight of risk management.
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Credit Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Math, Statistics, or Economics.
- 2+ years of strong programing skills in Python/SAS/SQL with hands on experience handling large datasets.
- Effective Storytelling: Capability to transform raw data into visually engaging stories in PowerPoint that highlights objective, methodology and recommendations.
- Knowledge and understanding of databases and data mining techniques.
- Self-motivated with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner.
- Proactive with results driven attitude, and strong problem-solving skills.
- Well organized, attention to detail.
Job Expectations:
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
- Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening.
