What you’ll be doing
Corpay^ is currently looking to hire a Credit Scored Lending Underwriter within our Risk and Underwriting division. This position falls under our Corpay^ line of business based in Ipswich, UK.
How We Work
As a Credit Scored Lending Underwriter, you will be expected to work in a hybrid environment, 3 days in the office.
Role Responsibilities
As the Credit Scored Lending Underwriter, your primary responsibilities are to manage the daily workflow for yourself and a small team of underwriters and to assess new customer applications using bespoke credit scoring models. You will play an important role in evaluating creditworthiness, determining risk levels, and making decisions that align with lending policies.

Credit Scoring Analysis:

  • Utilize credit scoring models to evaluate new applications.
  • Have a working knowledge of financial data and other information required to make sound decisions for new applications.
  • Ensure all required documentation is complete, accurate, and meets compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather additional information when needed.

Decision Making:

  • Apply established lending policies and guidelines to approve or decline account applications.
  • Adhere to internal compliance standards in the lending process.
  • Collaborate with senior lending specialists on complex cases and exceptions.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience in lending, credit analysis, or a related field.
  • Good understanding of credit scoring models and their application.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in using lending software and credit analysis tools.
