Description:
CREDIT SPECIALIST
Flexible location within Nova Scotia
Are you ready for a new career journey at Nova Scotia’s largest credit union? Join our dedicated team at East Coast Credit Union, where commitment to community, member satisfaction, and financial excellence are the foundation of everything we do.
East Coast Credit Union is a community-driven financial institution committed to a better banking model. A credit union is like a bank in many ways, but with cooperative ownership and special focus on people, not profits. We redefine the definition of local and bring Nova Scotians from many regions together with honest lending, savings, and investment products. Be part of an organization committed to fostering growth and empowering individuals on our team and in our East Coast community.
Under the direct supervision of the Credit Manager, this position is responsible for supporting the branch lending function by acting as a coach/mentor to retail lending staff and making credit decisions in accordance with policy, procedures, and risk tolerance of the Credit Union. This includes but is not limited to restructuring applications when required. The incumbent will be required to identify and approve additional credit products related to applications received. The incumbent will also be called upon to assist with the design/writing of technical training programs and lending policies and procedures. The incumbent will be responsible for completing credit reviews for East Coast Credit Union and its subsidiaries.
