Overview:
- Full-time, Fixed Term position until March 2025 ( 6-7 Months)
- Salary Level HEW 5 + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements
- Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University
About You
The Credit Transfer Officer role is responsible for supporting RMIT’s credit transfer systems and processes, assisting colleges and other RMIT staff in processing of credit transfers, and responding to enquiries. The Officer ensures all enquiries and tasks are responded to quickly and comply with relevant university policies.
The Officer provides accurate advice on all credit transfer related processes, handling complex queries and using initiative to resolve issues. The Officer will also provide support for RMIT’s admissions processes as required.
To be successful in this position, you’ll have as a minimum:
- Experience and expertise in the provision of high-quality administration services, including a sound knowledge of relevant policies and procedures or the ability to learn and apply policy and procedure requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to respond appropriately to sensitive information and situations.
- Excellent communication skills, including skills in persuasion, information exchange, gaining assistance and in perceptively assisting staff to manage workloads, timeline and relationships.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills with a proven ability to investigate and make informed decisions regarding complex issues, preferably relating to credit transfer processing and the Student Administration Management System (SAMS).
- Excellent organisation and time management skills with proven ability to manage multiple tasks and re-adjust workload priorities to meet schedule conflicts while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to continuous improvement of systems and processes in a service- oriented environment.
- Capacity to work in a collegial manner with other staff, building and maintaining effective and productive relationships, using highly developed interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
