Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint 10 experienced clinical leaders within Kent and Medway’s Crisis Assessment and Triage team. We are looking for enthusiastic clinicians to support us in an innovative transformation programme to ensure the best possible outcome for the young people and families we serve.
Being a senior member of the team and will lead in the oversight and management of clinical practice within your local area while also inputting into service development across Kent & Medway .
You will work closely alongside an operational senior practitioner for peer support and will feedback to management regularly via meetings and case discussions. This position will involve a focus on developing therapeutic outcomes for young people and families who are receiving care under the pathway and developing resources and training to improve and monitor clinical effectiveness. Within this position you will be involved in direct clinical work, overseeing case formulations jointly with the community team, and offering clinical supervision to members of the team.
This post whilst able to work across CREST , will mainly focus within the context of community intervention and support. We are looking for a qualified and experienced clinician with a strong background and understanding of assessing, managing and working with clinical risk to join our expanding multidisciplinary team.
Work in conjunction with the senior clinicians and managers to support the delivery of timely and effective evidence-based therapeutic interventions to young people and families who require more intensive therapeutic support and intervention.
Provide specialist assessments where appropriate , which will be used to inform interventions with children, young people and their families as well as the networks supporting them.
Be directly involved in delivering and where appropriate formulating a range of therapeutic interventions
Provide consultation and training to support both junior team members and external professionals, including but not limited to Social Care and mainstream services supporting children and families within mental health crisis.
Provide supervision support and education to junior members of the team, and contribute to multidisciplinary decision making as appropriate .
Offering a short intervention to help the young person manage the crisis and support with transition to the local community team, signposting, and/or discharge.
Where appropriate to supervise clinicians in the team and oversee allocation of cases and tasks.
To lead and contribute to multi-disciplinary assessment and treatment of children and adolescents with emotional and mental health problems, their carers/ parents and families.
To undertake a range of clinical work, assessment work and parenting support.
Probationary Period

Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
