Description:

CRIME AND ANTI SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR OFFICER

Job description
Full Time / 37 Hours Per Week / Fixed Term until March 2025
If you understand issues affecting Leicester and its communities and are committed to making a real difference, then we would like to hear from you.
Join us to provide solutions to anti-social behaviour with outcomes that offer the best for everyone. This is a challenging yet rewarding role in reducing anti-social behaviour in the city centre. We engage with agencies, businesses and focus on those with a street lifestyle and who are affected by multiple disadvantages to bring about behaviour change that may require a solution focused enforcement approach.
Working alongside colleagues from our Changing Futures and Community Safety Teams you’ll identify issues causing anti-social behaviour and lead on a solution focused approach to resolving the issues. Using the incremental approach and legal powers where necessary, this is a fast paced, interesting, and unique opportunity to make a real difference to those that live, work and visit the city.
This is a fixed term position working 37 hours per week from Monday to Friday. However, you’ll be able to work regularly outside of office hours including evenings and weekends. Based in the city centre, you’ll work from a variety of locations for variable durations as well as from home.

Responsibilities:

You’ll hold a caseload and co-ordinate with internal and external partners to manage our response to city centre anti-social behaviour including those involved in a street lifestyle. Liaising with individuals and key stakeholders, you’ll use your expertise to advise on best practice on how to resolve anti-social behaviour within the city centre. The cases you will manage will often be complex and will involve interviewing those affected, writing reports, and preparing legal files for court as well as chairing multi-disciplinary meetings to get the best outcomes for the individuals involved in your cases.
