REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates should be enrolled in a Ph.D. program in criminology, criminal justice, or related field, or have an M.A. in criminology, criminal justice, or related field, with substantial graduate work. Candidates should have prior teaching experience at the university level. Candidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preference will be given to those with experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment. Preference will also be given to those with relevant work experience and those who bring professional capabilities.

The Department of Criminal Justice has over 1300 majors and minors. Courses are 3-units per semester, and are typically offered in a lecture-discussion mode.
