Any combination of education and/or experience that provides the applicant with competencies in:

EDUCATION

If post-secondary education is required to meet the minimum qualifications, you must fill in the Education section of the application. Responsibilities:

Goose Creek Correctional Center, Alaska’s largest and newest Correctional Facility, is currently recruiting to fill a Criminal Justice Technician (CJT). CJT’s provide paraprofessional as well as technical and administrative support while assisting in offender supervision. Be aware of key processes in the organizational unit.
The position is trained to input, update and maintain a variety of offender information, victim information, sentencing information, etc. in the Department of Corrections (DOC) computer database. All information will be input and maintained in accordance with policy and procedure and the probation/parole training manual.
Assist in research and compiling information and organizing data to support grant applications, procurement, etc. Support statistical analysis to evaluate programs to determine if goal has been reached after completion of programs, such as victim impact classes, by gathering and reporting data as directed. Prepare reports as requested.
