Description:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Three years of experience in administrative services. One year of the required experience must have been in compiling, analyzing or processing criminal history information or crash reports, or matching and filing fingerprint records, or law enforcement.

Responsibilities:

Receives, classifies, and files registration and address verification information derived from criminal justice agencies.
Files, reconciles, and processes incoming applications for concealed handgun permits and crash reports.
Files, reconciles, and processes incoming requests for connection and access to criminal justice networks.
Scans and indexes crash reports submitted by Department officers.
Researches and identifies inconsistencies in or incomplete information received by accessing other automated criminal history programs available for comparison.
Updates computerized sex offender registry files, the public sex offender website, law enforcement sex offender website and the National Sex Offender Registry.
Ensures annual address verification information is submitted to and returned from convicted sex offenders on a timely basis.
Scans and fetches offender mug shots into registry and websites utilizing a manual scanner and automated fetch procedure via AFIS.
Contacts and assists public, law enforcement, and convicted sex offenders concerning information and questions of requirements.
Assists senior analysts in drafting written reports of sex offender registrations and verification analysis in preparation for legal action on non-compliant offenders.
Processes and updates incoming applicant record inquiries that are required by State and Federal statutes.
Establishes a computerized master index and criminal history files by abstracting descriptive and arrest information from new fingerprint submissions that have been determined to have no prior civil or criminal information.
Processes special requests from qualified agencies for information for specific fingerprint and criminal records.
Notifies appropriate criminal justice agencies of new arrest information.
Monitors state and national participation in criminal justice information systems to ensure compliance with laws, policies, and operational procedures.
Provides technical assistance to local, state, and federal agencies in proper utilization of criminal justice information systems.
Makes confidential inquiries into highly sensitive computerized files.
Receives and transmits criminal justice information to local, other state agencies, and Federal agencies as necessary which requires operators to be periodically Certified according to set guidelines.
