RBA are currently seeking a Critical Infrastructure Engineer who’ll be responsible for the analysis, planning, operations, maintenance, monitoring, management of commercial and Data Centre infrastructure.
This role will provide technical advice to stakeholders, procurement, contract administration to deliver engineering services and provide asset management.
About the role
- Determine, implement, and monitor engineering strategies, policies, procedures, and plans.
- Interpret plans, drawings, and specifications, and provide advice on engineering methods and procedures to achieve construction and operational requirements.
- Establish project programs and budgets.
- Manage risk and compliance, ensuring conformity with specifications and plans, laws, regulations, and safety standards.
- Embed engineering standards of quality, cost, safety, timeliness, and performance.
- Oversee maintenance for optimisation of efficiency.
- Liaise with project managers and stakeholders regarding engineering aspects of new design and modifications to existing design.
- Provide expert guidance on commercial and Data Centre infrastructure.
- Translate technical and complex information concisely for diverse audiences.
- Review business and technical specifications.
About you
- Trade Certification Electrician with Operational experience in a Data Centre environment.
- Project and contract management experience. (desirable)
- Ability to undertake inspections to monitor works undertaken, check conditions and assemble assurance reports.
- Experience devising tender documentation including statements of scope of service and pricing schedule.
- Working knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards.
- Knowledge and understanding of trends and technology in engineering.
- Experience specifying, developing, issuing, and managing minor and major services, maintenance and building contracts.
- Experience across all asset lifecycle stages - design, implementation/construction, and operation.
- Knowledge of the Cormant DCIM tool (desirable)
- Understanding of HVAC (desirable)
