Responsibilities:

As a Crop Input Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Crop Input Department. This role requires a deep understanding of agronomy, crop protection products, fertilizers, and seed technologies. You will collaborate closely with farmers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure the efficient and effective use of crop inputs to maximize yields while minimizing environmental impact.

  • Provide leadership to direct reports and operational staff to ensure successful implementation and delivery of operational plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, provincial, and federal regulations regarding the handling, storage, and application of crop inputs. Stay informed about changes in regulations and implement necessary adjustments to protocols and procedures.
  • Source, negotiate, and procure crop inputs including fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and seeds from reputable suppliers. Ensure timely delivery and optimal pricing.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in crop input technologies, including seed genetics, chemical formulations, and fertilizer blends. Provide guidance to farmers on product selection based on soil types, crop varieties, and pest pressures.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders including farmers, suppliers, agronomists, and regulatory agencies. Act as a trusted advisor and resource for all matters related to crop inputs.
