We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and committed Radiographer to join our Cross-sectional team, at a Trust rated as Good by the CQC.
You must be patient focused and motivated to deliver an exemplary service. This is a great chance to join our forward thinking and committed team in providing a high quality service to our local community.
This role requires you to work as part of a small team of Cross-sectional Deputy Radiographers, reporting to the Cross-sectional Service Lead.
There will be an expectation that you contribute to providing an extended working day service within CT and MR where necessary, and also support the on-call service on an emergency basis.
Previous senior level experience in CT and MR is essential, a post graduate qualification is desirable.
We currently have 4 CT scanners, 3 Canon and 1 Siemens. We also have 2 MR Scanners, a GE 450W and a Canon Vantage Orian.
We have 7 Advanced Practitioners in the Cross-sectional department, covering a variety of reporting, including; CT Colonography, CT Brain, MRI Knee, MRI spine and MRI Brain.

Job Summary

  • To work as the Cross-sectional Deputy Lead Radiographer and as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure high standards of patient care, providing a comprehensive and efficient service, following policies and procedure as specified by the Trust and the Radiology department.
  • To support the Cross-sectional Service Lead in co-ordinating a team of Radiographers rotating through CT and MRI.
  • To support the Cross-sectional Service Lead in coordinating a team of reporting Advanced Practitioners and the delivery of the reporting service.
  • To participate in the independent clinical reporting service if qualified to do so, delivering a pro-active response.
  • To manage the daily workload through the department.
  • To contribute to the development and monitoring of the standard of service provision across the designated team through the implementation of Clinical Governance requirements, i.e. protocols and guidelines, clinical audit and risk management policies.
  • To be an expert in all aspects of CT and MRI scanning.
  • To contribute effectively to the delivery of an efficient and responsive Radiology Service whilst supporting the Radiology Management team in operational and strategic challenges.
  • To maintain Cross-sectional scanning skills
