Description:

Receiving customers export bookings requests via email and/or e-Commerce portals.
Communicate with Capacity team for space and allocation issues.
Application and monitoring on special cargo i.e. DG / OOG / RF and FLEXITANK for loading and discharging acceptance.
Liaise with Logistics team for equipment arrangement as requested by customer e.g. container nominations, refer pre-set temperature, food grade, early collection and exchange or return of empty container.
Generate bookings and issue booking confirmations received through emails (manually) and via E-portal within set SLAs.
Send through empty container release details to the customer and depot.
Promote and support ZIM’s e-commerce products to customers.
Arrange the rolling or cancellation of bookings as required by the customer and or business.
Ensure all applicable cancellation and amendment fees are issued to the customers as required.
Ensure all amendments and/or cancellations are communicated to the empty container depots.
Handling customer’s enquiry for booking, sailing schedule including vessels space and routings, customer allocation enquiries etc.
Assign customers emails to the correct CUCC in line with the SmartCS procedures.
Respond to general enquiries for export booking queries and close the enquiry via the SmartCS application.
Reconcile containers delivered into the terminal against the recorded bookings in IQShips ensuring that any discrepancies are addressed and corrected accordingly.
Actively close vessels for bookings inline with set business requirements.
Ensure that the vessel reconciliation process is completed and finalized to align with vessel planners requirements.
Coordinate with the documentation team for resolution of complex enquiries or out of scope services and respond to the customer accordingly.
Obtain acceptance of additional service fees from customers prior to authorizing the requested service.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Merchant Marine Trade, Business Administration, or related fields (preferred)
Experience in shipping and Logistics business (preferred)

Strong computer software skills (excel, word)
