Reporting to the CFO, you will play an important role in guiding CLdN’s approach in the area of ESG / CSR. The main initial focus of the role will be on developing CLdN’s CSR reporting framework and ensuring compliance with European CSR reporting requirements (first CSR-D compliant reporting to be delivered by 2026).

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing CLdN’s CSR reporting framework in alignment with the general and sector-specific requirements of the EU’s CSR Reporting Directive (CSR-D) and European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS);
  • Together with Communications team, planning, writing and producing an annual corporate responsibility report; ensuring that CLdN’s reporting meets legal requirements and aligns with sector best practices;
  • Together with internal subject matter experts, ensuring robust internal processes for ESG data gathering and review; liaison with external assurance provider / auditor for verification of all ESG data;
  • Developing and evolving the annual ESG reporting plan and managing inter-related timelines, milestones, and deadlines;
  • Carrying out periodic competitor ESG benchmarking and reviewing CLdN’s double materiality matrix;
  • Researching the ESG landscape and staying up to date with current developments in the evolution of ESG matters and reporting frameworks, particularly those relevant to the shipping / logistics sector;
  • Developing a framework to respond efficiently to external ESG enquiries (eg responses to customer ESG questions);
  • Producing relevant reports and updates for the Management Team and Board.
