The Role:
Due to significant growth in demand for our corporate sustainability reporting, GHG emissions accounting and reduction services, there is an opportunity for an enthusiastic, experienced individual to join our Sustainability and Climate Solutions team in Italy.
We offer flexible working arrangements and the possibility to work remotely with weekly visits to our Milan office.
Our role as consultant is to help our clients to achieve their sustainable development objectives, and to manage their related business risks and opportunities effectively.
Role and key responsibilities:
As a Corporate Sustainability Managing Consultant at ERM, you will play a pivotal role in assisting organizations in their journey towards CSRD alignment and the related strategical activities.

What you can expect from the role:

  • We will offer the opportunity to act as a project manager, acting as the focal point for our work with clients, particularly across corporate sectors. Working in collaboration with a Partner in Charge, you would act as the day-to-day contact and coordinator of our work, leading teams and delivering proposals and project deliverables to clients;
  • Supporting clients in their CSRD journey by pursuing a twofold objective: ensuring compliance with the regulations while identifying and implementing key strategic actions. Leading the double materiality analysis to identify and prioritize EG issues and related impact/risk/opportunities, developing and conducting training sessions/workshops, contributing to IRO assessment, reporting and assisting in the third-party assurance process;
  • Joining teams working on a variety of sustainability and climate-related projects such as: ESG action plans for corporates, GHG emissions accounting and target setting, LCA, GRESB/CDP/Ecovadis ratings, European taxonomy alignment;
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including data providers, subject matter experts, and auditors, serving as a point of contact for clients and colleagues;
  • Supporting and ensuring that the outputs enable our clients to meet assessment and disclosure needs;
  • Overseeing the preparation of reports, workshop materials, presentations, and technical summaries, including managing project delivery of more junior members of staff;
  • Leading and supporting partners and teams to develop proposals, including for clients across a wide range of sectors;
  • Be included in the global network of ERM professionals with opportunities to participate in projects together with colleagues from other geographies.

About you:

  • Master’ degree in a relevant field (environmental science/engineering or sustainability or accounting/finance or business administration/finance/economics);
  • Three to five years of experience in the technical areas listed above;
  • Experience as a project manager, of generating revenues and manage and mentor junior resources;
  • Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills; managing multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently; familiarity with data management and reporting tools;
  • Fluency in Italian and English languages is necessary.
