Description:
Musgrave is one of the Europe’s most successful family-owned businesses with a 140-year heritage in food and brand innovation, supporting communities across the island of Ireland and Spain.
Every day we feed one in three people in Ireland through 15 market leading food and beverage brands that include SuperValu, Centra, Frank and Honest and Musgrave Market Place.
We support thousands of retail and foodservice family businesses who live and work in the heart of the communities they serve.
We are committed to becoming the most trusted and sustainable business in Ireland and we are making changes across the company to make sure that happens. We want to make a positive impact on the world and we will support our suppliers and customers to make a difference too.
Our people are the heart of our business. As our greatest asset, they make Musgrave a great place to work and in return we aim to be the very best place to work, grow and thrive. We have an opportunity for a CSRD Reporting Analyst to join our team under the One Finance Organisation Structure.
The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) means that large companies, such as Musgrave, must publicly disclose information on how it engages with environmental and social issues, human rights and governance factors. For the first time, sustainability reporting will be mainstreamed, put on an equal footing with traditional financial reporting, independently audited, and based on common EU standards. We are now looking for a CSRD Reporting Analyst to play a key role in helping Musgrave prepare for its reporting responsibilities.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Manage the data collection of base CSRD reporting metrics (including Scope 1, 2 and 3 GHG emissions) from various business units/locations.
- Support Sustainability teams around the business in the implementation of ‘Growing Sustainably Everday’ KPI’s and targets.
- Analyse and assess performance against metrics, identify trends, gaps in data collection and areas for improvement.
- Develop and prepare relevant reporting to stakeholders on key CSRD and Sustainability strategy metrics and targets. Outline trends and actionable insights ensuring that the information disclosed is accurate and complete.
- Where required, support the selection of technology solutions and work with IT to understand data collection and reporting requirements ahead of system implementation.
- Support with updates to relevant policies and where required support in developing new policies.
- Support with acquisition due-diligence to ensure new acquisitions are aligned to data requirements.
- Adopt a continuous improvement monitoring and refinement process. Assess stakeholder feedback, emerging trends and regulatory compliance for continuous improvement.
The person in this role will work closely with the wider CSRD team, including Heads of Sustainability, HR leads, Financial Reporting teams and divisional subject matter experts.
The successful candidates will possess the following:
- Qualified accountant with a minimum of 2+ years post qualification experience.
- An interest in the area of sustainability
- A good understanding of data and systems
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- A self-starter, hard-working, committed with willingness to learn and develop new ways of working/processes.
- Attention to detail with strong financial and analytical skills
- Ability to plan and prioritise workloads to agreed deadlines
Musgrave is an equal opportunities employer.
We encourage applications from diverse candidates. If we can make any accommodations to enable you to be the best version of yourself during the interview, please let us know.
