Description:
- The appointee shall be instructed and trained on site in respect of the relevant guidelines and required duties under the direction of local management.
- The hours are 39-hour week (onsite) with flexibility (regarding actual hours worked to suit local work practices and demands of the service).
- The appointee will be required to carry out all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the requirements of the HSE Code of Practice for Decontamination of Reusable Invasive Medical Devices (RIMD).
- The appointee will be required to rotate through all sections of the department, as defined by the local management.
- The appointee will report to the Decontamination Manager/ lead or the CSSD Supervisor.
- The appointee will be required to maintain confidentiality regarding patient information and other hospital data.
- A good general standard of education will be required.
