CTO (m/f/d) in the SmartBuildings Sector

at  Future Energy Ventures

We are looking for a CTO (all genders) for one of our portfolio companies in the SmartBuildings sector. The startup is a growing company specializing in the energy efficiency of buildings. It contributes to the reduction of CO2 emissions and increases the resource efficiency of its customers.

Tasks

• You define a tech strategy for the successful scaling of the platform and all its components
• You are responsible, that your team delivers the implementation of the product requirements
• You will ensure, that our systems can handle more than 3 Million connected IoT devices and well over 100.000.000 messages a day
• You work closely with our product team to plan, test and scale new experiences for our users, customers and stakeholders
• You lead & develop your team of experienced developers from various backgrounds
• You are part of the C-Level Management team and bring the tech view to the table, drive initiatives and make strategic decisions
• You ensure a company-wide knowledge sharing of our technical components
• You are open to tackling the big and small challenges, that might get in the way when scaling a data product

Requirements

• You have +8 years of experience in a tech leadership role (ideally in fast-paced environments)
• You have scaled a data business before
• You gained experience in building a SaaS solution
• You ideally have supported a cloud migration before
• You have +10 years of hands-on development experience with a proven track record of delivering complex products and solutions
• You have worked with the following tech-stack before:
• Java
• Kotlin
• Kafka
