Description:

CURATOR OF EXHIBITIONS AND PROGRAMS

  • Contribute to the diverse and dynamic artistic program by curating original and high-calibre exhibitions
  • Coordinate exhibition development, installation, and administration
  • Engage with artists, galleries, and stakeholders to develop strong relationships
  • Manage exhibition installation team and ensure high standards are maintained

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Essential: Degree in Visual Arts or extensive curatorial experience
  • Experience in exhibition development and budget management
  • Detailed knowledge of contemporary visual arts
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of audience development principles

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be responsible for initiating and curating exhibitions that align with the organisation’s strategic goals and budget considerations. This includes coordinating exhibition production, managing budgets, and engaging with artists and galleries.
Additionally, you will oversee the exhibition installation team to ensure artworks are handled with care and presented to the highest standards. You will also maintain exhibition standards through regular monitoring and preventative maintenance.
