The Currency Management team currently services in excess $300 Billion in assets under management for approx. 90 clients globally with significant global presence The currency management product team services a distinct group of clients, predominately the large mutual / managed fund segment. As such, we are expanding the reach of our client and account servicing efforts. The role will have a very marked operational and account servicing connotation but will also allow for ample exposure to clients, portfolio management techniques, product design and strategy design in general.

As a Currency Management Product Specialist, Officer you will
Major Responsibilities:

Role specifics

  • Servicing existing clients on a day to day basis, managing share class and portfolio launches, onboarding new accounts, completing operational set ups and managing ad hoc projects.
  • Carefully managing an accounts launch queue
  • Providing day to day support to our global client base, addressing queries and resolving time critical issues.
  • Interacting with operations teams including SSGM Trade support , SSGM Onboarding , Custody, Fund accounting and Transfer agents, both internal and external.
  • Interacting with management locally and globally
  • The role will entail some project management and coordination across multiple teams within Global Markets but also within the administrative arm of State Street.
  • The role will also encompass supporting activities carried out by the EMEA hubs and will have exposure to Business Risk Management functions.
  • The Product Specialist will work closely with other functional groups of the Portfolio Solutions team and will be required to:
  • Establish themselves as the operational product expert and handle the operational set up of mandates for new and existing clients Globally
  • Develop a strong knowledge of the full suite of products including a detailed understanding of the operational process and the fundamental principles of fund accounting and performance measurement as they relate to currency hedging
  • Interact on a regular basis with existing clients and support their needs
  • Lead onboarding projects with the operations team in Boston to ensure smooth new business installation. Interface with Onboarding/KYC/AML teams as required

    Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in finance or related field

  • Graduate Degree in related field a plus.

Skills and Experience -

  • The successful candidate should have 2 years’ experience in a similar organization (or prime broker) within an operations/product role
  • Solid understanding of Fund Accounts /Custody/ Transfer agent operations and how they integrate with an outsourced FX provider.
  • Solid knowledge of the lifecycle of a currency hedging mandate
  • Strong operational background.
  • Coding Skills a plus

Salary Range:
$65,000 - $102,500 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ
