Description:

In support of Program Manager Advanced Amphibious Assault, we are seeking a Curriculum Developer III with experience in supporting DOD Federal acquisition programs; knowledge of policy/ principles/organizational protocols.
We are seeking a Curriculum Developer with experience supporting Marine Corps training programs utilizing the ADDIE model and NAVMC 1553.1_ Marine Corps Instructional Systems Design/Systems Approach to Training and Education handbook. Develop, update, and maintain New Equipment Training Team (NETT) training material for the Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) Operator and Maintainer training courses. Assist, as required, with the development and maintenance of all related training documents that constitute ACV training materials, to include reference materials, Training and Readiness (T&R) manual(s), Programs of Instruction (POIs), course materials, evaluation and testing materials, Master Lesson Files (MLFs), and Course Content Review Boards (CCRBs). Implement quality control best practices as directed by the New Equipment Training (NET) Director. Perform Instructor duties as required by the NET Director. Participate in all ACV curriculum development related workshops and training sessions to provide subject matter and development assistance input. Be familiar with DOD Federal acquisition programs; knowledge of policy, principles, and organizational protocols

The specific requirements and tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide a Curriculum Developer who shall develop specific Marine Occupational Specialty (MOS) training. Tasks shall be conducted at AAS facility located at Camp Pendleton, California. AAS’ objective is to develop curriculum for MOS 1803, 1833, and 2141 Marines by blending existing training materials or creating new POI that will meet the needs of the Operating Forces.
  • Execute and deliver a status report IAW CDRL A006 of the following tasks to include, but not limited to:
  • Conduct and interpret results from Gap, Task, Learning, and Method/Media analyses;
  • Develop a Master Lesson File in its entirety;
  • Develop a POI in its entirety independently;
  • Coordinate with the Formal School Manager for submission of the POI to the Formal School Manager for entry of the POI into the Marine Corps Training Information Management System; and observe all quality control practices provided by AAS. Upon the completion of the training material development, the Curriculum Developer shall perform instructor duties at AAS to train ACV designated Marines.
  • Utilize Government approved lesson plans, courses of instruction, tests, and grading criteria to conduct training.
  • Provide submissions as part of daily Working Group discussions and group Curriculum development.

Education/Experience:

Graduate of Curriculum Development Course (CDC)

  • 4-6 years serving as a curriculum developer at a formal military school (preferred).
  • 3 years in curriculum development billet (minimum).
  • Graduate of Formal School Instructor Course.
  • Graduate of Formal School Managers Course.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams.
  • Can work independently or with little direction.

Specific/Preferred Requirements:

  • Interpret results from Gap, Task, Learning, and Method/Media analyses.
  • Implement analysis product results to improve training and or training material.
  • Develop a Master Lesson File (MLF) in its entirety independently. This includes:

o Lesson Plans (LPs).
o Student Handouts (SHOs).
o Media (PowerPoint presentations).
o Written tests.
o Performance Evaluation Checklists (PECLs)
o Operational Risk Assessment Worksheet (ORAW)

o Joint Risk Assessment Tool (JRAT)

  • Develop a POI in its entirety independently as directed.
  • Review prevailing technical manuals for changes and update MLF.
  • Adhere to quality control practices provided by the New Equipment Training (NET) Director.
  • Prepare and deliver scheduled status reports in accordance with contractual obligation.
  • Attend all ACV curriculum development related workshops and training sessions to provide subject matter development assistance as required.
