Description:

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Early Years, Education and Social Care department as a Curriculum Team Leader for Social Care.
As the Curriculum Team Leader you will have responsibility for all operational matters within the Curriculum area. This role has a clear focus on curriculum delivery, performance management and development for Social Care and Community Practice.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

  • Qualified Social Worker
  • A degree in a subject relevant to the Curriculum Area.
  • GCSE A*- C or nationally recognised level 2 qualification in English or equivalent. (e.g. CSE 1, O Level A – C)
  • GCSE A*- C or nationally recognised level 2 qualification in Maths or equivalent. (e.g. CSE 1, O Level A – C)

EXPERIENCE

  • Academic experience in a field relevant to Higher Education
  • Evidence of a successful track record of Teaching, Learning and Assessment, including taking an innovative approach to TLA.
  • Experience and evidence of the performance management of people
  • Experience of using data and information effectively to drive improvements
  • Experience of curriculum planning and development to meet the needs of students, employers and the changes in Further Education
  • Experience of student pastoral care and disciplinary procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • To work with the Head of School for planning and management of the performance of all courses and in the Curriculum area.
  • To support the Head of School in the planning, innovation, design and development of curriculum provision and cross College marketing activities.
  • To ensure that the professional regulatory bodies criteria are successfully met.
  • To support the Head of School to enable the curriculum area budget allocation to be deployed efficiently and effectively.
  • Provide course costings and information relating to resources, ensuring that a quality experience for students and appropriate working resources and development is in place for staff.
  • To work with the staff to ensure full compliance with all College procedures and systems and report on these via KPI’s.
  • To be responsible for the performance, management and development of the curriculum area staff, including setting targets, monitoring KPI’s, managing performance, attendance, recruitment, AWAM’s, induction, appraisals and curriculum related staff development.
