JOB SUMMARY

Are you an experienced, self-motivated and detail-oriented Cabinet Shop Sawyer/Cabinet Maker. We are seeking a skilled Cabinet Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for woodworking and a keen eye for detail, capable of crafting high-quality cabinetry. This role requires proficiency in various woodworking techniques and the ability to work with a range of materials.
Heronwood Custom Cabinetry Inc. is a local cabinetry design firm located on beautiful Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Heronwood specializes in custom cabinetry, including kitchen and bath design, remodeling and custom furniture. Heronwood has designed, constructed and installed custom kitchens throughout Vancouver Island for over 20 years.

EXPERIENCE

• Proven experience as a Cabinet Maker or in a similar woodworking role.
• Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, materials, and tools.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
  Pay: $57,000.00-$67,000.00 per year

Education:

• Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

• carpentry: 2 years (preferred)

Language:

• English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (preferred)

• Experience running and operating on panel saw and table saw
• Ability to make custom hood fans, islands and speciality millwork projects
• Ability to assemble cabinetry
• Ability to read and use design plans
• Strong math skills
• Fluent reading tape measure
• Must be able to lift 60 pounds
• Maintain organized and clean working space
• Experiences using hand tools
• Communicate job progress and timeline for each project to foreman
• Work as a team to accomplish production goals/timelines
