Description:
SaskEnergy is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our team. The Customer Account Manager, Business leads capital projects and operational enhancements for key customers within Distribution. Responsibilities include facilitating negotiations, managing project contracts, and executing yearly business development strategies. The Customer Account Manager, Business acts as the primary contact for key stakeholders, including First Nations and industry associations.
Position Details
- Non-union - This position is permanent full time.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop a strategic understanding of the customer business activities, plans and drivers to ensure that the Corporation can meet current and future customer requirements.
- Facilitate the initial negotiations, project contract terms, and execution of the yearly business development strategy and initiatives.
- Identify opportunities and develop plans and business cases to optimize systems, technologies and processes while challenging current practices and providing advice for capital, strategic and operational projects.
- Identify and manage risk and issues related to expansion projects that require investment from SaskEnergy.
- Conduct field and site visits of new and existing facilities to propose proper scope of work, verify accuracy of information and meet with key stakeholders.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining existing capital budget, as well as projecting future capital budget forecasts.
- Ensure contractual agreements are maintained and amended when required.
- Develop, implement and maintenance of customer business policies, such as Rural and Urban Distribution Capacity and Investment policies.
- Identify and develop opportunities to enhance customer and employee knowledge for capital projects.
- Act as primary contact for key stakeholders, delivering presentations to key customers such as First Nations developers and industry associations.
- Provide leadership throughout the Corporation in the delivery of exceptional customer service resulting in high service levels and a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Resolve Ministerial inquiries and escalations involving key accounts and stakeholder groups in a timely fashion.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Degree in Business Administration or Commerce, or a related field.
- Eight (8) years’ experience with financial analysis and managing contractual agreements.
- Project Management certification or training would be considered an asset.
- Strong critical thinking, creative problem solving, judgment, influence and decision-making skills.
- Relationship building skills, including displaying high degree of respect, awareness, diplomacy, and tact in interactions with others.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams and delivering presentations to stakeholders.
- Ability to build, manage and foster relationships across the organization.
- Must have a continuing record of professional development and continuous learning.
A suitable combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered.
Additional Information
- Travel, including overnight stays away from bid headquarters is required.
- This job requires significant travel time throughout the province.
- A Class 5 Driver’s License is required.
