Description:

Duties/Pligte

  • Ensuring that all administration regarding individual memberships, Maties Sport and international athletes and teams, as well as visiting sport groups, are completed effectively and timeously;
  • Receiving and reconciling own cash on a daily basis, and completing daily cash- ups as per Standard Operating Procedures;
  • Completing month-end reports from time to time as and when needed;
  • Effective administration and filing of memberships contracts;
  • Assisting new members to complete the online membership registration process, as well as fully completing all sales and contract administration;
  • Being solution- driven and assisting members in solving any queries that may arise from time to time;
  • Actively promoting and selling the gymnasium’s facilities and services;
  • Ensuring that members adhere to the various access control processes, as per Standard Operating Procedures;
  • Managing the switchboard when required (taking calls, transferring calls, taking messages, providing info telephonically, greeting, etc.);
  • Effectively managing member cancellation and membership freezing requests;
  • Actively assisting the sales team as and when required.

Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes

  • Grade 12 qualification;
  • Computer literate;
  • Work experience in any role / capacity;
  • Knowledge and interest in sport / health / fitness;
  • Effective conflict management skills and techniques;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel);
  • Good attention to detail;
  • Must be willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
