Description:
JOB SUMMARY
This is an exciting time for Babington as we evolve our Customer Engagement strategy and structure to ensure we’re in the best shape for the future. This position will prioritise your focus on three main areas:
- Continuing to develop Babington’s existing relationships, ensuring we really understand our customers culture, business & challenges, and are maximising every opportunity.
- Identifying and winning new business opportunities to ensure our continued growth.
- Supporting the Head of Customer Engagement as required, with the leadership and development of the team to provide guidance, mentorship and support to ensure all understand what’s expected, are delivering / exceeding their targets and representing Babington’s values - working closely with colleagues throughout Babington to ensure we’re delivering a first-class service.
As such you’ll be an experienced sales professional / account manager who understands and holds funded learning experience and will be aligned to Tech Media and Telco market.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Demonstrable experience of consistently meeting or exceeding targets & KPI’s.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience managing and nurturing multiple accounts, acting as the main point of contact at a senior/strategic level.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with the ability to demonstrate extensive competence in business development, sales or account management role.
- Minimum 3 years demonstrable experience of working with customers within the relevant industry, with a deep understanding of trends, best practice, and challenges to provide valuable insights and recommendations related to your area of specialism
- A deep understanding of the UK apprenticeship landscape, including funding, standards, and regulatory requirements. You will be able to demonstrate your previous proven experience supporting customers to implement apprenticeships, within one of Babington’s 4 vertical markets.
- Proficient in using a CRM package to record and manage all customer interactions and sales activities.
- We are a national business and so are most of our customers. You’ll have a full driving licence and be comfortable spending 2 - 4 days a week traveling to spend time with customers.
Responsibilities:
- Senior / Strategic Account Management: Acting as the main point of contact at a senior/strategic level to ensure customer satisfaction, through proactive communication and service delivery – working closely with Operational Business Partner(s) to deliver on this commitment.
- Networking: As a proven specialist you will actively participate in industry events, conferences and networking opportunities developing your relationships with industry peers and prospective customers. You will identify viewpoints of multiple customers and predict needs across customer groups based on industry and economic trends. You will act as a champion across the market, with your proficiency of market trends, commercial levers, insights, analysis and explore potential business opportunities.
- Market Analysis: You will be accountable for conducting in-depth market research and analysis to identify prospective customers, new business opportunities, market trends and a deep understanding of the funded learning and apprenticeship / competitor landscape – helping to develop strategies to stay ahead of the competition, drive business growth and make recommendations for our overall sales approach and how we can best position our value and uniqueness across the market.
