We’re looking for a Customer Excellence Representative to join our team in Whangarei and support our customers by providing prompt, knowledgeable, and friendly service. This role is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in customer experience and service quality!

- Experience in customer service or administrative support, with a drive to provide high-quality assistance
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including a professional phone manner and the ability to manage challenging situations effectively
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
- Familiarity with the utility services industry (especially Electricity and Fibre) is an advantage
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the confidence to navigate demanding situations and communicate clearly with stakeholders
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for customers seeking assistance with Northpower’s Electricity and Fibre networks. You’ll provide exceptional support by promptly responding to enquiries over the phone, email, and in person, ensuring each customer has a seamless experience. As the primary contact for customer feedback, you’ll handle issues efficiently, escalating when necessary to ensure timely resolutions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with internal teams and external service providers to align on customer needs and deliver a high level of service
- Proactively updating customers on the progress of their requests, keeping them informed at every step
- Coordinating with our legal partners around subdivision consents, ensuring that Northpower’s requirements are accurately represented in legal documents
In addition to your customer service duties, you’ll have opportunities to suggest improvements to our processes and customer service practices, helping Northpower maintain its high standards in service delivery.
