DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Customer Order Management Representative to join our team specializing in Supply Chain Planning for our Cummins United Kingdom Supply Chain department in Wellingborough, United Kingdom.
This position offers the flexibility of working from any site across Europe as the team is already distributed, ensuring no detriment to operations.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways :

  • Streamlining Order Processes: Manage the entire order life cycle to ensure efficient and timely order processing, enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Effective Communication: Act as the single-point-of-contact, providing clear and continual communication to all stakeholders.
  • Resolving Complex Inquiries: Use your understanding of Cummins’ processes to promptly resolve complex customer inquiries, improving trust and loyalty.
  • Maintaining Accurate Records: Keep detailed records to track order progress and quickly resolve issues, ensuring smooth order fulfilment.
  • Ensuring Compliance: Ensure customers comply with export policies and compile necessary documentation to avoid legal issues and ensure smooth shipping.
  • Quality Management: Liaise for quality issues and submit non-conformance claims to maintain high product standards and customer satisfaction.
  • Supporting Customer Visits: Assist with customer visits to build strong relationships and showcase commitment to customer service.
  • Driving Process Improvements: Participate in or lead process improvement projects to make the Customer Order Management department more proactive and efficient.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
  • College or equivalent degree preferred.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
  • Requires some work experience and intermediate level knowledge obtained through training or on-the-job experience in customer order management, account management or in the supply chain field.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING:

  • Supply Chain Planning Experience: Your background in supply chain planning will be crucial for managing COM tasks and ensuring smooth transitions and transformations within the PowerGen Projects accounts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP Systems: A strong understanding of Microsoft Office software and experience with ERP systems will help you efficiently handle order life cycle tasks and customer interactions.
  • Customer Support Skills: Demonstrating proactive customer support throughout the order life cycle will be essential for maintaining high customer satisfaction and ensuring a positive overall experience.
  • Order Life Cycle Knowledge: Understanding the phases of the end-to-end order life cycle and how to navigate order life cycle systems will enable you to process orders accurately and respond to customer queries effectively.
