GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Customer Program Lead serves as the primary liaison between the Company and the Customer to facilitate the efficient delivery of products and services. The Customer Program Manager leads a cross-functional team that includes members from sales, engineering, purchasing and operations to provide excellent customer service to achieve program and Program objectives for delivery, cost and quality.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Strong process discipline and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong project management skillset; detail oriented.
- Ability to understand customer quality, commercial, and technical requirements
- Strong proficiency using MRP.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, co-workers, employees, customers, and suppliers.
- Willingness to travel up to 10%
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 3 + years’ related experience and/or training required.
- Experience working with engineered products.
- Experience working with manufactured products.
- Customer management, engineering or planning and scheduling experience preferred.
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident to satisfy AFSI ITAR requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Manages customer programs from purchase order though final delivery.
- Reviews planned and forecast customer orders to ensure capacity is available for on time execution.
- Identifies supplier and in house constraints and works to resolve.
- Coordinates internal and external resources to ensure efficient execution and on-time delivery of projects.
- Works with Engineering and Operations Teams to ensure quality products are produced per customer specifications.
- Works with Operations and Planning Teams to confirm appropriate delivery dates.
- Regularly communicates with and updates customers regarding program progress, delivery dates, and metrics.
- Helps problem solve quality and/or delivery issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Works with engineering, planning and operations team to develop improvement roadmaps, as necessary.
- Performs risk management and escalates to management appropriately.
- Ensures compliance with internal standards, processes and procedures.
- Ensures ITAR compliance for all technical communications and shipments to customers.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Manager.
