SUMMARY

The Customer Service Representative (CSR), in collaboration with Projects Sales Representatives, will perform daily duties within the Projects department to transport freight as efficiently as possible. This position requires excellent communication skills, initiative, and the ability to adapt to new situations.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or GED required
Business Administrative Certificate preferred
Industry Experience Preferred
Minimum of 1 year experience in customer service
Technical ability to understand and use transportation industry programs, such as AXON, Shaw Tracking, PC Miler, PDF Conversion
High Attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
Ability to multi-task and adapt to new situations as they arise
Ability to create and modify word-processed documents using Microsoft Office and Microsoft Exce

Responsibilities:

Work jointly with the Projects team in daily duties to book loads and fulfill shipment requirements
Advise clients on products and services, equipment availability and freight tracking
Build, track, and forward loads for client accounts
Manage day to day account operations tasks, such as; coordinating loading and unloading times, shipment requirements, and monitoring progress of shipment while en-route
Maintain communication with customers, drivers, employees, and brokers to ensure all information on the internal system is accurate and shipment is efficient
Update and advise clients on tracking loads and answer any questions pertaining to loads
Ensure all of the information is entered into the internal system accurately as per the customer’s requirements for billing and invoicing purposes
