WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

DeckMart is looking for a dynamic Customer Service Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience, preferably in building materials or construction industry, with excellent communication skills, and a passion for building relationships with clients. The role is a permanent, full-time position, and it is based in Vaughan, ON, Canada.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Greet walk-in customers and assist them while making purchases.
  • Gain knowledge of DeckMart products to answer customer enquiries.
  • Work with customers to resolve complaints, process orders, and provide information about DeckMart’s products and services.
  • Take order(s), create Invoice(s) and process payment(s).
  • Communicating with customers to organize pick-ups, deliveries, and drop-offs
  • Prepare package(s) and arrange shipment(s) for website order(s) Canada Post, Fedex, Purolator, etc. and pick-ups
  • Support the re-stocking in the hardware rooms
  • Help the Warehouse Manager and/or Assistant Warehouse Manager with monthly/quarterly inventory cycle count
  • Accept the return(s) from customer(s) and coordinate with warehouse manager assistant the next steps
  • Decrease response time and increase customer service satisfaction.
  • Make sure any issues with the orders or customers are flagged and communicated in a timely manner to the Warehouse Manager or Assistant Warehouse Manager.
  • Take and enter new orders or changing orders into the system, prepare the shipping, and follow up with clients.
  • Work with customers to resolve complaints, process orders, and provide information about DeckMart’s products and services.
  • Obtain proper documentation of the orders.
  • Listen and respond to customer’s questions.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to engage with new and existing customers to improve their experience with DeckMart.
  • Decrease response time and increase customer service satisfaction.
  • Drive successful cross-team collaboration
  • Engage with the customers with a friendly demeanor
  • Provide fast and effective solutions
  • Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma
  • 3+ years of customer service experience in an office, retail or industrial environment
  • Excellent customer service and time management skills
  • Must have effective business communication skills, initiative, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work with little supervision with a high standard for quality, attention to detail, and cleanliness.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work extended hours, which may be required from time to time.
  • Computer skills
