Reporting to the CSR Lead, the Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience throughout the dispatching process. As the first point of contact the CSR must be able to enter customer orders accurately and courteously, while leveraging a high level of industry knowledge. The CSR is responsible for handling a variety of customer concerns, including pricing inquiries, product recommendations, adjustments to ongoing orders, troubleshooting delivery issues and communicating with the distribution team, in order to ensure seamless on-time delivery. Various administrative duties may be assigned based on departmental needs.
This is a one-year contract

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma
  • 1-3 years of work experience
  • Related construction field experience is an asset
  • Computer Proficiency – experience with Microsoft Office and Google Maps; Command Concrete is an asset

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Success in the role will require strong customer service experience, experience in a fast paced, ever changing environment, and superb phone skills with the ability to professionally handle a high volume of calls. Working as part of a team and a keen eye for detail will help you excel in this position. Experience in ready mix is nice to have, but not a requirement.

Dufferin Concrete, A CRH Company is currently hiring a Customer Service Representative to join their growing team!

MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for account and COD customers throughout the ordering process, receiving approximately 80 to 100 calls per day.
  • Accurately enter new orders and changes in the Command Concrete dispatching software.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide customers with updated information regarding their deliveries in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Distribute orders among various concrete plants based on the project location, fleet limitations and product availability within the delivery region.
  • Handle customer complaints by troubleshooting service and quality related issues; providing real-time solutions to satisfy the customer’s needs.
  • Uphold the company’s commitment to Environmental and Health & Safety.
  • Administrative duties as required.
