Description:
We are in the market for a Customer Service Representative I to join our team based in Reading, Pennsylvania. This role is a long-term contract employment opportunity within our industry. As a Customer Service Representative I, you will be interacting with customers to provide information and handle any complaints. You’ll be determining the client’s issue, offering possible solutions, or providing follow-up as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Handle and resolve customer complaints related to service or billing, performing activities such as adjusting bills, refunding money, and exchanging merchandise.
- Connect with customers to respond to inquiries or notify them of claim investigation results and any planned adjustments.
- Address unresolved customer grievances by referring them to designated departments for further investigation.
- Maintain records of customer interactions and transactions, documenting details of inquiries, complaints, comments as well as actions taken.
- Use computer applications such as MS Outlook and data entry software to accurately document and record customer/client information.
- Function independently and manage your time effectively, demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Utilize your experience with customer service skills and interpersonal skills to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Leverage your skills in data entry, Microsoft Outlook, billing, and merchandising to perform your duties effectively.
- Handle claim administration, adjustments, and complaints with the utmost professionalism.
- Use your written communication skills to accurately document customer interactions and your problem-solving skills to resolve customer complaints efficiently.
- Proficiency in customer service and the ability to handle customer complaints effectively
- Strong data entry skills with accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and other computer programs relevant to the role
- Experience with “About Time” software or similar time-tracking programs
- Familiarity with billing processes and procedures
- Basic knowledge of merchandising principles and practices
- Experience in claim administration and adjustments
- Ability to handle customer complaints and resolve them in a timely manner
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with customers and team members
- Strong written communication skills for preparing reports and correspondence
- Ability to use computer programs and software required for the role
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
